We don't require DBus activation, only the activation token. However, Gtk.Application won't pass the token from the local instance to the primary one, while with DBus activation the launcher application is sending it directly to the primary instance. So it's simple to enable DBus activation than fixing the behaviour of the local instance, since that would end up being the same as doing DBus activation. |

This should fix the issue with switchboard not properly getting focus when a activation token is used.
